Why work at BiblioCommons?
We’re re-envisioning an industry
BiblioCommons delivers a SaaS solution to public libraries that replaces their traditional online catalog, with a vibrant space for discovery and connection around the books, movies, music and information that are at the heart of the library’s collections.
We do so by aggregating and connecting the communities across all of our participating libraries in innovative new ways. Ultimately, our service model to public libraries offers the possibility of enabling a different kind of public space online -- more inclusive, more thoughtful – at an unprecedented scale.
We aim high
We are the product leader in our space by a large margin, with a reputation for setting the bar high (in an industry where it’s been too low for too long) – and delivering. We tackle tough problems systematically and persistently. And we don’t just talk about being user-focused, we engage and respond continuously.
We get rewarded with incredible feedback from grateful users daily
“The people who put in their hard work, intelligence and skills to produce this handy, helpful, great library programme deserve to be sainted in the world of programming ... thank you!"
We’re scaling quickly
We already have over 2 million registered users, and we're rolling out in cities across the world from New York and Boston to Vancouver and Ottawa all the way to Christchurch, New Zealand. We’ve built highly scalable technical and operational foundations that will now allow us to accelerate implementations dramatically.
Now we’re ready to focus on the fun part: deepening engagement; strengthening community; enriching discovery – ultimately, creating a different kind of civic space online at an unprecedented scale.
A great work environment
The team is extremely collaborative in its approach to problem solving and getting stuff done – across all functions and experience levels. And we get the life-work balance thing: we’re in it for the long haul. We want the team to be too, and we manage customer expectations accordingly. The result is an incredibly committed team – with almost zero turnover.
We’re looking for inspired and inspiring team members to help take BiblioCommons to the next level. If you’re a fit with one of our openings, we’d love to hear from you.
